Anti - Fibrinolytics

Anti-fibrinolytics are a class of medications that inhibit fibrinolysis, the process of breaking down blood clots. Examples include aminocaproic acid (ε-aminocaproic acid) and tranexamic acid. These drugs interfere with the formation of the fibrinolytic enzyme plasmin from its precursor plasminogen, primarily in lysine-rich areas on the surface of fibrin. They are used to prevent excessive bleeding in conditions such as haemophilia, surgical procedures, and heavy menstrual bleeding

Immuno - Suppressants

Immunosuppressants are drugs that prevent the immune system from mistakenly attacking healthy cells and tissues. They are prescribed by healthcare providers to treat certain autoimmune diseases and to prevent rejection of transplanted organs or stem cells

Anti-hyperlipidemic agents, also known as antihyperlipidemics, play a crucial role in managing lipid levels in the blood. Let’s explore some key points about these medications:

  1. Purpose:

    • Treatment: Antihyperlipidemics aim to reduce lipid levels, including low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol and triglycerides.

    • Prevention: By improving lipid profiles, they lower the risk of coronary heart disease and related complications.

Physiotherapy

Anti-rheumatics

Anti-rheumatics are a group of medications used in the treatment of autoimmune diseases characterized by inflammation and pain in the joints, muscles, or fibrous tissues (such as ligaments and tendons). These drugs act as immunosuppressives, reducing or preventing joint arthritis damage associated with inflammatory disorders and alleviating pain and stiffness
